First played here just after it opened around 2001 and first thought, "What challenge can come from a links style course in a flat area like this", Then I got out and played it. The wind was a blowing, rough mowed high, tipped greens and water raising its head from almost every hole. This area is noted for its greenery nursery's so playing conditions are always top notch with greens moving smooth and fast. The 6,532yds / 71.0 / 116 playing to a par 71 will test every club and shot shaping swing that you have, if the wind is blowing from the southwest at 10-15mph you'll have your hands full. The trees have now grown in, rough has gotten thicker, water hasn't receded and wind was still blowing when I stopped back it for the Senior rate M-F of $18.00 for this walking friendly 18 hole layout shooting 38/43 w/35putts. Worth stopping in and playing this "Home Grown and Owned" links style layout 15 miles from Grand Haven on Lake Michigan, a vacation stop you must not miss.
